Characterization of dislocation structures and internal stresses in Al-Mg alloys during recovery by synchrotron radiation

Al-2.5% Mg alloys with two different Fe content were cold rolled to ε̄ = 0.1 and recovered at 220°C. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) observations show different initial dislocation organization. Internal stresses and dislocation densities were investigated using synchrotron X-ray radiation, investigating both peak width and peak asymmetry.
