Abstract
The static recrystallization of the cold-rolled aluminum alloy AA1050 was simulated using a cellular automation (CA) incorporating three texture classes. The CA was coded with nucleation probabilities and interface migration rates for each texture classes, and delivered kinetic and grain size distribution information. In general, the simulation kinetics showed good agreement with experimental data.
