Abstract
Abstract: Since the advent of HAART (highly active antiretroviral therapy) in 1996, HIV has progressively transitioned from a life-threatening to a chronic disease. The average age of people living with HIV in Australia is now over 45 years and modelling estimates that the number of people aged over 60 has been increasing at 12 per year since 1995.
