Abstract
The symposium presents a sampler of evidence-based policy and practice derived from the free-to-download book, "Building Better Schools with Evidence-based Policy: Adaptable Policy for Teachers and School Leaders" which provides an extensive set of free-to-use policies for building better schools. With 38 internationally relevant school policies, from over 70 academics, this book is a product of research translation for educational contexts.
The presentations in this symposium cover a broad range of popular topics for schools including student and teacher wellbeing, load reduction, excellence in indigenous education, feedback for learning, applying the science of learning in the classroom, and transgender and Non-binary students. Each presentation will reflect a ready-to-use school policy that is built on theory, driven by research, and created by experts.
