Abstract

This short paper summarises past work which has looked at the research-practice gap within human factors and ergonomics (HFE). Some of this work has focused on Human Factors Integration (HFI), whilst other literature discusses the challenges involved in carrying out HFE research and influencing practice across a range of domains (e.g., defence). The paper serves as an introduction to a wider set of presentations and experience reports from other researchers and practitioners in healthcare HFE which will presented at the conference.
