Abstract
Bridging the Gap was an exhibition of work by intellectually disabled artists from the Mainstreet group at Moe Life Skills and an invited group, The Bridge Project from rural Suffolk, England, who have come together to exchange individual expression as artists, bridging their disability to document their creative ability to cross boundaries.
Researching the curation of the exhibition involved observing the sensitivities involved in showing the work of intellectually disabled artists, liaising with Arts Coordinators at the contributing organizations, speaking with the artists, selection of works and installation, writing publicity material and delivering the opening address
