N2 - Various neurological manifestations are known to occur both during and after attacks of malaria. The neurological and psychiatric signs and symptoms that occur in some individuals within 2 months of an acute episode of malaria have been defined as the post-malaria neurological syndrome (PMNS; Mai et al., 1996). The present report is of a patient who developed clinical and electro-physiological evidence of brainstem dysfunction following Plasmodium falciparum malaria.
