Abstract

We measure the simulated biodegradation of commercially pure Mg in a saline environment containing albumin from bovine or chicken egg sources. Albumins from different sources have different effects on the biodegradation behavior of Mg. Therefore, the source of albumin should be considered for in vitro assessment of Mg-based biomaterials.
