Bound states in the continuum in monolithic van der Waals metasurfaces

Abstract

We merge bound states in the continuum for strong light-matter interactions and the exceptional properties of van der Waals materials, demonstrating coupling with spin defects in hBN metasurfaces, and self-hybridized exciton-polaritons in WS2 metasurfaces.
