Abstract

Pacific salmon are of immense ecological, social, economic, and cultural importance on the Central Coast of British Columbia, Canada. However, many populations are declining or imperiled. These declines maybe due to human-driven threats such as overfishing, and habitat loss and degradation, and be exacerbated by recent periods of poor marine survival and the impacts of climate change on oceanic and freshwater habitats.
