In Figure 4 of this Review, persistent acute kidney injury (AKI) or chronic kidney disease (CKD) criteria <90 days was incorrectly classified as AKI instead of acute kidney disease (AKD), This error has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the manuscript.
