N2 - Treatment of the arsaalkyne As≡C(C6H2But3-2,4,6) with [W(CO)5(thf)] affords the compounds [{W(CO)5}2{1,3-η1-As2C 2(C6H2But3-2,4,6) 2}] 5 and [{W(CO)5}2{1,2-η1-As2C 2H2(C6H2But 2CMe2CH2)2}] 6 which represent the first structurally characterised examples of 1,3-diarsacyclobutadiene and 1,2-diarsetane complexes respectively.
