N2 - We have carefully reviewed the retrospective cohort study by Brogna et al., which investigated early use of antibiotics among vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). While the study underscores potential benefits of early antibiotic intervention in halting disease progression and mitigating harmful effects on the human microbiome, several aspects of the methodology raise concerns.
