Abstract

Development of generic and reliable approaches to model calibration is implemented not only for the practical application of macroscopic traffic flow models but also for cross-comparing the performance of traffic models. In this paper, we present a framework for this purpose based on the principle of direct search optimization methods with a particular application to METANET model.
