This article provides a snapshot of how music is a powerful medium for intercultural connection, communication, and collaboration, which permeates cultural and linguistic borders worldwide through processes of exchange and synthesis. Through examples of from the Italy-based Afro-reggae musician, Momar Gaye, the article explores the transnational and transcultural appeal of music and its capacity to promote new and reciprocal solidarities and exchanges.
