Abstract
Peter Gronn of the Faculty of Education, Monash University in Australia discusses recent studies into the talk of administrators. He argues that talk has assumed a greater significance in educational administration mainly because of the increased attention being accorded to micro-politics within the field. The paper focuses on six attributes of talk: types and forms, location and properties, and styles and techniques.
