N2 - Acute kidney injury (AKI) is common in critically ill
patients and independently associated with important
morbidity and mortality [1]. However, its pathophysiology
and optimal management remain largely unknown. In
this brief review, we present recent advances in the
understanding, prevention and management of AKI.
