Abstract

The reaction of [Li(TMEDA)₂][1,2,4-SbP₂C₂Bu(t)₂] 1 with E(S₂CNEt₂)₂ (E = Se or Te) leads to the chalcogen substituted diphospholes [1,2,4-EP₂C₂Bu(t)₂] (E = Se 2, E = Te 3). Compound 3 represents the first example of a tellurium substituted diphosphole.
