Abstract
The reaction of [Li(TMEDA)2][1,2,4-SbP2C2Bu(t)2] 1 with E(S2CNEt2)2 (E = Se or Te) leads to the chalcogen substituted diphospholes [1,2,4-EP2C2Bu(t)2] (E = Se 2, E = Te 3). Compound 3 represents the first example of a tellurium substituted diphosphole.
