The structure of the penta-metallic diiron trigallasiloxane, [η5-C5H5)Fe(CO)2] 2Ga3Cl3(OSiMe2 OSiMe 2O)2, reveals two distinct gallium coordination environments and Fe-Ga bond lengths (2.3258(6) Å), consistent with bonding of the iron centres to four-coordinate gallyl ligands.
