Understanding the role of youth in the civic life of healthy multicultural societies is critical for sustaining social cohesion. This project offers a much-needed interdisciplinary, comparative analysis of the ways young people cultivate social inclusion and strengthen the nation's social fabric in an era of super-diversity. It investigates rich, local approaches to living with difference from the perspective of a generation uniquely positioned to address this global challenge. It will inform policy forums for social inclusion, cohesion and citizenship; expand sociological approaches to youth citizenship and immigration, and will result in a public database, reports, articles and a book.
