Project Description
This project will apply WSUD within State Planning Policies and to the development of a Department of Communities infill development project in Perth. The project will likely be 2-3 storey social housing apartments.
Since the development of the concept, WSUD has been adopted in policy and planning but is not resulting in consistent water sensitive community outcomes by the urban development industry for over two decades in predominantly greenfield developments, with perceived challenges in implementing WSUD on brownfield and infill sites. This project will determine how WSUD principles may be applied to infill development to meet the requirements of policies under SPP7.0 and SPP2.9. Perceived barriers to WSUD will be tested through the design, tender and/or construction process
