Project Description
As discussed with performance supervisor Prof. V. Ambrosini and Director of Workforce Transformation S. Lindsay (Deloitte).
The deliverable for this engagement will be a research-informed white paper on ‘Workforce Communities Strategies’, with an actionable maturity framework for implementation. The white paper will draw on the most rigorous evidence, research findings, and investigator experience to present an actionable framework for strategically developing ‘communities of meaning’ in modern organizations. The novel strategic principles outlined in the deliverable will help organizations improve connection, wellbeing, and sense of meaning in an increasingly uncertain workforce.
The proposed approach to Workforce Communities Strategies represents a new perspective on developing, changing, and leveraging the value of community-belonging in organizations. The underlying expert research will highlight the critical non-economic conditions for thriving communities, the boundaries along which communities can be defined and nurtured, and how experience-sharing can help communities extract meaning from increasingly complex work. By cultivating communities of meaning that honour diverse identities, coexisting generations, and overlapping sub-cultures in contemporary workplaces, this novel framework can help managers bolster psychological safety, reduce turnover costs, and tap into communities of meaning to bolster innovation.
