Using Machine Learning to develop Robust and Reproducible miRNA Biomarkers to Detect Preterm Labour

Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

Preterm birth is defined as birth before 37 completed weeks of pregnancy and is the most common cause of infant death and survivors are at risk of substantial intellectual and physical disability. Distinct molecular processes govern the transition of the myometrium of uterus from a state rest to that of active contractility. In this study, we investigate these molecular changes leading to preterm labor. We can target these changes to prevent the onset of labour.
