Understanding Experiences of CALD Women

Project: Research

Project Description

The Social Research Centre (in conjunction with leading academic experts, Associate Professor Nicola Henry from RMIT and Dr Asher Flynn from Monash University) will conduct research relating to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women’s experience of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA).

The project will involve three phases of research, delivering depth interviews with frontline stakeholders, in-depth interviews with CALD women who have experienced technology-facilitated abuse, and online discussions with CALD women who have been victims of technology facilitated abuse. The project aims to understand the experiences of CALD women who have experienced technology-facilitated violence and identify ways to improve legal and non-legal responses to technology-facilitated violence among CALD women.
