Project Description
Student clinical exemplar videos were developed and implemented as an assessment task for a
cohort of both on and off-campus students completing the postgraduate intensive care paramedic
program. These tasks are structured in such a way that requires students to proficiently
demonstrate clinical skills as well as articulate the clinical reasoning and justified decision making related to the procedure, equipment, the patient and the clinician. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these clinical exemplar videos as a tool for the effective teaching, assessment and retention of clinical procedures and skills for both on and off-campus students studying clinical units.
