    This research study compares children’s access to gardens in Norway, India and the United Kingdom, and investigate the potentials of these practices for sustainability learning with small children. Conceptualized in theories of situated learning, this study will elucidate characteristics, activities and values related to gardens and the use of gardens with small children in the three countries by help of literature reviews, interviews and observations.
    The study illuminates convergences and differences between the three countries, related to the role of gardens in the lives of small children. The study will offer avenues that are worth to reconsidering and taking care of through perspectives of sustainability.
