The-things-we make-here-want-to-be-free is a dedicated new work project spanning 12 months of sustained studio enquiry in Melbourne and New York, culminating in 2 confirmed public outcomes. The project includes research at the
Tamiment Library New York University and Interference Archive Brooklyn, followed by exhibitions at the ISCP in Brooklyn in 2018 and Anna Schwartz Gallery Melbourne in 2019 - 20. The project expands on recent projects intersecting public space, monumental sculpture, feminist practice and critical labour studies. The funding sought from Creative Victoria will support new work for major projects secured at the ISCP Brooklyn (2018), this project will be followed by an exhibition at Anna Schwartz Gallery, Melbourne in 2019.
