The RAD program: Reducing Aggressive Driving in young people

Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

This project aims to develop a behaviour change program to reduce aggression in younger drivers. The project will: 1) identify the key triggers for aggression in younger drivers in the ACT; 2) develop a prototype Reducing Aggressive Driving (RAD) program addressing these triggers, using intervention methodology that has been successfully applied in existing MUARC behaviour change programs; and 3) conduct a workshop with key stakeholders to review and revise the prototype RAD program. This project provides the first steps towards supporting young drivers to reduce their dangerous aggressive behaviours, making driving a safer and more pleasant experience for all road users.
