The potential of parameter estimation through regionalization for flood simulations in ungauged mesoscale catchments using the Integrated Flood Analysis System (IFAS) hydrological model lies in its ability to enhance flood prediction accuracy where direct measurements are unavailable. Regionalization leverages hydrological and geographical similarities among gauged and ungauged catchments to estimate model parameters. By applying this approach within the IFAS framework, it is possible to simulate flood dynamics effectively in mesoscale catchments, improving preparedness and risk management in areas lacking sufficient hydrological data.
