Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

In 2021, the Art History Institute at Bonn University will publish an edited volume on Art Informel, a postwar European art movement whose legacy is now being reappraised. I have been asked to write a chapter for this volume and am applying for funds to visit Germany to conduct the research needed for this publication.
My chapter will examine the relationship between Art Informel and a second postwar art movement, Information Aesthetics, in the work of two West German painters.
