The cardiovascular toll of pre-eclampsia: determining impacts on the maternal, fetal and placental vasculature

Our research aims to create a model that can better predict the onset, outcomes and long-term sequelae of pre-eclampsia. We hope to achieve this by using both cardiovasular and endothelial markers in our prediction model. We will explore whether these abnormalities persist beyond the puerperium and whether this confers a higher risk of long term cardiovascular disease.
