Project Description

Working with researchers from Keele and UCL universities to provide a literature review and a technical scope for the use of body-worn video footage to measure disproportionate use of TASER and other use of force by police on monitories. The project is funded by Britain’s College of Policing and the Home Office. My involvement will be to lead a team of post-docs to prepare literature review of the use of systematic social observation (SSO) and SSO technical specification for use by British police forces to analyse their own BWV footage. My involvement will be consultancy-based with tentatively 8 research days paid directly by Keele University.
