Technical Professional Learning Program on School Counselling Services to Support 21st Century Student Development

Monash University, in collaboration with the Republic of Indonesia, is developing a comprehensive framework to support the national implementation and scaling of educator coaching initiatives across schools. Drawing on evidence-based approaches and adaptive implementation principles, the framework outlines key stages, strategies, and supports to ensure effective and sustainable delivery. Emphasising process over prescription, it allows local education leaders to tailor the model to their unique contexts and community needs. As a capacity-building approach rather than a fixed program, it aims to strengthen professional learning systems that nurture educators’ social, emotional, and academic coaching capabilities in alignment with Indonesia’s educational priorities.
