Project Description

This project aims to address construction challenges in remote housing by off-site manufacturing and on-site assembly using fibre reinforced composites and digital made-to-measure approach. It will generate interdisciplinary knowledge and practical technologies for building assembly that are reliable, affordable, and durable. Expected outcomes include innovative connection, components and structural systems with valuable understanding of their performances under various loading including cyclonic and fire scenarios for remote housing at harsh environments. This will unlock remote development, enhance our competitive strengths for manufacturing and construction industry, and further offer new solutions in post-disaster recovery applications.
