Project Description

This project aims to identify how strain from an active plate boundary (the Alpine Fault) and switches in tectonic regime, is partitioned and developed through structural architecture. Subsequently, this study will explore the development and propagation of subsidiary faults and fracture networks that fundamentally control fluid flow (and hence, loci of gold mineralisation) in the Otago Schist. Objectives will be achieved by integrating constrained geophysical interpretation techniques with detailed structural analysis and mapping to produce high-resolution structural maps and 3D models.
