Project Description

The purpose of this proposal is to establish a joint facility for the phyisco-chemical characterization of meolecules via their thermal response, for applications in bioscience and materials science. The proposed facility, which combines state-of-the-art techniques to provide high resolution thermal analysis at the nanoscale, will be the first available in this country. The equipment will compliment the current infrastructure existing between the University of Sydney and Monash University related to inhalation drug delivery and it will provide a unique resource to all groups studying thermal behaviour in other areas. Furthermore, it will enable collaborative research groups to compete more effectively for international research funds.
