Novel lipid-based hybrid nano-structure particles will be engineered to enable control of the action of anzymes in our gut. these bioactive materials will modulate the in vivo processing of lipids and absorption of poorly soluble molecules; the orally dosed uptake of challenging drugs and vitamins will be enhanced. The research field of functional nanomaterials for molecular delivery will be significantly advanced through this research. The project outcomes will drive the next generation of pharmaceutical and nutritional products and have scientific, health and economic benefits.
