Small-scale tests using Subsea Umbilicals, Flowlines and tyres to Liquid Fuel

Several used subsea umbilicals, flowlines have been received from Woodside Energy Technologies. The objective of this six-month duration research is to process them under pyrolysis conditions and generate information for further scale-up of the process and also carry out economic analysis to provide a basic understanding of potential market demand, pricing trends compared with plastic and tyre oil, and economic benefits of producing liquid fuel. The preliminary economic analysis will help build an internal business case by showcasing the commercial viability of the project.
