Through the NCRIS and EIF investments AuScope Simulation Analysis & Modelling (SAM) has developed Open Source software infrastructure that has successfully ensured Australian researchers are at the forefront of the geodynamics research discipline. The Underworld software infrastructure enables researchers to construct and disseminate their own 21st Century Microscope, a researcher-led instrument to explore geological and geophysical concepts, by “adjusting filters” (code) and to “see what could not be seen before” (transformed data). This project contributes to Underworld2-Core maintenance: Maintaining and sustaining the Underworld as led by the Underworld community
