Project Details
Project Description
For this monograph, we will conduct a review of research literature and resources published by national and international experts investigating:
1) how science has been characterised within STEM education,
2) conceptions of integrated science and,
3) the role of 21st century skills (such as critical and creative thinking) in STEM Education.
We will scrutinise the available evidence to find strategies that are applicable to building and sustaining a comprehensive and integrated STEM education program that preserves the integrity of science as a learning area, and makes explicit the connections between different science disciplines, and their ways of thinking and working.
The project team will then integrate and synthesise data drawn from the literature review to develop a draft monograph.
