    This research project is a rapid review commissioned by NSW Department of Education’s Learning and Wellbeing Directorate, via SAX Institute. It aims to support schools navigate the large number of programs available and make informed choices regarding the most appropriate wellbeing programs to implement with their students.

    What school-based mental-health prevention and early intervention programs have been shown to be most effective?
    For the programs identified in Question 1, above, what are the program characteristics that 1) drive efficacy, and 2) maintain sustainability?

    The content of the review will be used to develop resources for school principals to assist them in making decisions about the value and suitability of available programs for their schools. The review will also be used to inform strategic decisions within the Department of Education on potential state-wide commissioning of school-based programs.
