Project Details
Project Description
Free to Be is a crowd-mapping website that enables young women to identify and share public spaces that make them feel uneasy and scared or happy and safe. It was designed in collaboration with Crowdspot, Monash University’s XYX Lab and young women within the city. Analysis was conducted on the full survey in June-July 2018, and this project will analyse two specific areas relating to the data: firstly, the prevalence of street harassment perpetrated by men and boys in groups, and, secondly, the reporting of and response to street harassment once reported.
