    Project Details

    Project Description

This project will help to provide the Australian emergency services and the public with access to more reliable, timely, and relevant information during an emergency. We will develop more resilient information system architectures and algorithms that can: manage new and uncertain data sources, like crowd-sourced data; tolerate unplanned failures in communications and key system components; and disseminate vital information from predictive models and command and control systems to automated sensors and to people affected by the emergency. Using bushfires as a case study, the results of this research will demonstrate new ways to improve the resilience of Australian society to increasingly frequest and servere natural disasters.
