Children who experience out-of-home care need quality recordkeeping systems to develop and nurture their sense of identity and connectedness; to account for their care experiences throughout their lives; and to detect, report, investigate, and take action against child neglect and abuse. Those involved in supporting children experiencing family dislocation need access to efficient, effective, and responsive recordkeeping systems to ensure the highest standards and continuity of care. This interdisciplinary research project aims to design and develop a Lifelong Living Archive for children who experience out-of-home car, in order to transform archival and recordkeeping frameworks in this sector towards a child-centred model.
