Project Description

In response to the growing influence and aspirations of Southeast Asian countries in
championing an inclusive and sustainable future, this study explores responsible leadership within the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), examining how business leaders in the region define responsible leadership and how these practices might be influenced by diverse cultural, economic, and institutional factors. The commitment to responsible leadership can be noted in 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship, Malaysia, which has chosen "Inclusivity and Sustainability" as its theme, emphasising the importance of shared progress, equitable access to opportunities, and a resilient, sustainable future for the region, aligning with the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the UN 2030 Agenda (ASEAN Malaysia, 2025).
