Project Description

The aim of this research project is to reveal the ‘state-of-the-actual’ in relation to student and teacher digital citizenship competencies of students in the Asia-Pacific.

The methodology of the program of research is designed to achieve four distinct goals:
1. To provide an overview of digital citizenship education in Asia-Pacific that will explore and emphasize the need for digital citizenship among teachers and students in light of COVID-19 contexts.
2. To reveal and synthesise the digital citizenship competencies of students in Asia-Pacific.
3. To better understand and synthesise the digital citizenship competencies of teachers in Asia Pacific.
4. Synthesise findings and observations at student and teacher levels.

In order to achieve these goals, four methodologies will be employed:
1. Systematic literature review
2. Desktop review
3. Synthesis of DKAP and teacher capability data
4. School simulation through the use of synthetic quantitative controls on cross-sectional databases.
