Project Description

Room to Breathe (RtB) is a long-term housing improvement program by the Northern Territory Government that aims to address the impacts of overcrowding for Indigenous residents living in remote Northern Territory communities through renovations and additions to existing housing stock. Two key objectives for a parallel research program are:
1. Developing a housing narrative for and by First Nations people: is Room to Breathe improving quality-of-life?
2. Capturing and sharing knowledge: working towards a best-practice model for high-impact design outcomes.
