Reducing low-value knee arthroscopy in Australia

Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

This fellowship project addresses the important problem of overuse of arthroscopic surgery for knee osteoarthritis (OA). I propose to develop, pilot and evaluate the effectiveness of a patient decision aid for knee arthroscopy in a randomised controlled trial in this fellowship. If shown to be effective, I will design an implementation plan to roll out the patient decision aid nationally.
