Rational Design of Pegylated Dendrimer Nanostructures for Site Specific Drug Delivery

The current application seeks to build on an established collaboration between Starpharma, an Australian research and development company and world leader in the biomedical application of dendritic polymers, with experts in drug delivery system design and evaluation from Monash University. The proposal aims to develop a series of novel dendrimer-based drug delivery systems with improved site specific delivery properties. Successful completion of this project will provide delivery solutions with the potential to significantly improve the treatment of diseases, including cancer, where the issues of non-specific toxicity are commonly the limiting factor in the use of aggressive and potentially life-saving therapeutic regimens.
